It’s here! The free charm pack quilt pattern Cottage Charm is complete. This pattern has been in the making for a bit. When making this pattern I had beginners in mind.
A quilt pattern that is truly beginner friendly. The hardest step in this entire pattern is sewing the 1/4″ seam. That is it. Simple and yet hard if you are a beginner intimidated by all the amazing designs out there.
This is a charm pack pattern that has instructions to modify the pattern if you are using yardage or fabric from your stash. It isn’t just for beginners to make. I loved making this one so much that I made two quilts.
What is in the Pattern?
This pattern is written with full-color diagrams. Easy step-by-step directions walk you through the making of your quilt top.
This pattern is written for three sizes baby, crib, and throw size quilt. The pattern uses charm packs to create this quilt and a small amount of yardage. It also comes with optional yardage requirements if you would like to back your quilt with cuddle/minky.
Thanks to my amazing pattern testers there is also a second layout option for this quilt. So you can decide to make the cover quilt or the other layout option.
Want to make the cover quilt?
The cover quilt is the crib size version of the pattern which only requires two charm packs and some yardage. The fabric used for the cover was Bountiful Blooms by Sherri and Chelsi for Moda. I did use cuddle for the back of the quilt which is extra soft for the little ones.
